Etienne Aigner describes himself as a German brand with Italian soul, melding German precision with Tuscan tradition, with motifs and monograms special, arising from equestrian themes as inspiration. The design of all the women wear are made by a subsidiary in Florence, leather goods like bags, belts, wallets, accessories, leather, shoes and scarves are designed in Munich. By "Antic Red" color (signature color) Aigner demonstrates a tribute to the Tuscan Chianti Classico.
History
Etienne Aigner was born in Ersekujvar, Hungary, 1904 (now Nove Zamky, Slovakia). Aigner was first bookbinder, and began shortly after World War II, in Paris, tailored sophisticated leather goods of various haute couture. Etienne Aigner established himself well in Paris designing handbags and belts for the European fashion elite, including Christian Dior himself.
Etienne older brother Lucien Aigner was a famous photographer of celebrities, and argued to be the first paparazzi.
1950, in New York, he showed his Antic Red leather with an open pocket bag with edges. He has also perfected the Aigner logo after his monogram, "A" for Aigner formed into a horseshoe. [1]
In 1959, Etienne Aigner opened his first showroom in Manhattan, New York to take advantage of the new wealthy American client base, and jet-set.
In 1965 the "Aigner" brand and logo was registered as a license to a business partner, a Mr. Heiner H RANKL from Landsberg am Lech, who Aigner GmbH Munich. [1]

In Aigner Prospectus 2009 were as follows: 60% of all sales from the external market, and 40% of the German domestic market. Of these, combined, include sales:.
